Add a burst of handmade color and texture to your home with this one-of-a-kind quilted floral wall hanging. Measuring approximately 35.5” x 45.5”, this finished art quilt was designed to be displayed as a statement piece in a sewing room, nursery, bedroom, hallway, studio, or any space that could use a cheerful handmade touch.
This quilt began as my own hand sketch and was created using a raw-edge appliqué method. The petals and leaves feature unfinished fabric edges that are intentionally left raw and will naturally fray over time, adding soft texture, movement, and character to the design.
The center features an Alison Glass Art Theory panel, surrounded by a vibrant color wheel of favorite fabrics arranged as floral petals. The background is a soft white fabric with tiny brown leaves, the binding is a rainbow print on a blush background, and the backing is made from two coordinating low-volume fabrics.
